  • Short reverberation time for good speech intelligibility
  • Some sound reflection might be needed
  • Sound absorbers on the rear wall

Good speech intelligibility is highly important in auditoriums, large teaching rooms, conference rooms etc. This means that a short reverberation time is required, especially if a loudspeaker system is used. Useful sound reflections offer a way to improve the clarity of speech far away from the speaker. One way of achieving this is to combine absorbers with high sound absorption with more sound reflective ones, ideally those with some low frequency absorption.
In these larger rooms it is always recommended to install a wall absorber with high sound absorption on the rear wall.
