This design creates a real space between ceiling and wall – 3 cm wide and 5 cm high. This creates a strongly defined shadow, on a greater scale than the other joints in the ceiling.
The suspended ceiling is clearly separated from the wall, and the whole surface appears as an independent unit.
The wall continues up above the acoustic ceiling, giving the ceiling a "floating" effect.
The ceiling panels are trimmed to the precise dimensions on site, and the edge is resealed. The distance between ceiling and wall is extremely distinct.
