There are a great number of possibilities for using suspended ceilings as acoustical interior elements when designing a room. When installing the ceiling with a distance to the wall, it creates a feeling of a floating ceiling. Possible reasons for creating a floating ceiling might be due to ventilation, high windows, or with respect to essential details when refurbishing etc.
In the example Ecophon Focus D with its concealed grid is used to create inclined ceiling units in different levels. The floating ceiling units are emphasized by lighting fittings installed in the void.
